What is Astrology?

There is not a one-sentence explanation for this multi-faceted ancient Science of Astrology, and it means many different things to people. It is not a religion or faith. It is more like a science of knowledge and practice. A method, a tool, a system, a Language, - A SYMBOLIC LANGUAGE. Symbology is really how Astrology works from a real perspective for which no special talent is required. Yet, a natural disposion or calling is more common. In a nutshell. A Symbolic Methodology, with Systematic Cyclic Occurrences - never quite the same.

It certainly shows up in all civilisations in some form. It has magical qualities. It irritates the hell out of the modern age scientific minds. Most Astronomy books contain an Astrology disclaimer of any source or fact. Yet, for thousands of years, together with other magical sciences such as Alchemy, it was the virtual father of all sciences as we understand that today, and many modern scientists deny it. Interesting in it-self? Not generally known is that the Father of modern science and philosophy, Sir Isaac Newton, studied it amongst other so-called, Pseudo Subjects.

For hundreds of years it has been given bad press in the modern world, for it is seen as a 'Fortune Telling.' And then many Scientists, not having studied it, thinks, as do the Bishops of Religion, that that is what it is. And it does have a wondrous way of giving us more information on the whole of civilisation, human and non-human question, together with much much more. This is what fascinates me. The never-ending sources of ever increasing knowledge, understand and predictive type research - past, present and future. The emphasis on GREATER UNDERSTANDING. A means of understanding the vast universal forces at play at all times. Simply put, Dynamics at Play, [as above - so below].

In the hands of a acutely observant, trained and personally attuned partitioning, Astrologer [Astrologist] - THIS IS A POWERFUL TOOL, not yet fully appreciated by the modern world for many reasons, the most prominent as explained already. Astrology can be studied, practised, used, translated and examined by anyone who wishes to do so, as many respectable Schools and Courses are readily avaliable.
